Sumeragi Subaru: X/1999

Why This Costume:

I am a gigantic X fangirl. I have loved this series since before I went to conventions, and I've always wanted to do a costume from it. The costume I've wanted to do was Hinoto, but since I have neither the time nor the funds, I decided to do Subaru first.

Things I Did Right:

That's an actual hakama there! With a real belt that ties properly. The sleeves have their little alternating cord goodness, too.

Things I Did Wrong:

The version you see in these pictures does not have the new and improved tassels, which are much better than these fail tassels. I would also like to make the bead necklace.

Status:

Still wearable and worn - and how! This is actually the most comfortable and easiest costume to get into that I've ever made while still looking awesome, believe it or not.
